I took a year off to write a book and I will have to write a book about the year off I took to write the book!  I got the adventure based timing unit nestled in.  I got 6 different types of skis and learned to use them.  I know what fat tire bikes are.  And I ran a marathon in Antarctica…and I felt…and I endured…and I explored…and discovered…and now I better…

Now, I better get down to business. I have a masters degree in Public Administration and a resume pages long in experience in both private and public sectors.  That is a powerful combination.  I am choosing to leave the timing world of things and get back into the administration end of things.  Interviewing is something I have not had to do in a long time.  This week, instead of an oral set of interview questions from a panel, we were given a set of scenarios to resolve .  We had one hour in a quiet room to outline our responses and were given 10 timed minutes to present our supervisory concepts.  I walked in and a panel of three intent listeners said ‘go’.  I could feel my body coming up off the start line and running the curve and than the straight away.  I was pacing myself in the 800 which takes me about 2 and a half minutes to run when in great shape.  The panel exclaimed it was uncanny that I answered each question in exactly 2 and 1/2 minutes and finished right on the nose of 10 minutes.  I was running 800 repeats in my body.  I felt like it after the interview.  Interviews are always intense and take composure.  This timed one rattled the race horse jitters in me. I hope I solidly portrayed the cases I intended to present. I would sincerely like to hand choose the city I end up pouring my experience into.  I will let you know how it goes.IMAG0637
